Stuff About Me

I am Linda Green, child of God, the wife of Will; mother of Michelle & Stephanie; grandmother of Katrina, Kalin, Keagen & Karson. I also have four other children who my husband brought with him into our marriage; Paula, Julie, John & Bill and the four granddaughters there are Kate, Faith, Shelby & Ella. I have a sister, Cathy and two brothers, Ken & Jim. My mom, Wanda, is retired in sunny Mesa, AZ.

We currently live in a small mountain town in West Virginia where there is so much to see and do nearby. The motorcycle riding is phenomenal especially in the fall. We are active in Christian Motorcyclists Association (CMA) where I am currently the local chapter’s secretary/treasurer (mainly because no one else wants the job).

I try to participate annually with either a domestic or foreign mission trip. I have had a desire for mission since I was fourteen years old and truly love sharing the Gospel of Jesus with others. It is something that I realize does not have to be done in a formal “mission trip” but that can be done daily as I go about my life.

God has blessed me with great health most of the time even though I have had Type 1 diabetes for 36 years since I was 17 years old and insulin dependent. I now use an insulin pump which gives me freedom from taking injections 4 times a day.

I volunteer one day a week when I am able to at the local food and clothing bank. I have been doing this for about 5 years now and it has been an enjoyable time to get to meet people int he community since I don’t have any family living here locally (except Will). The out reach from this service has been very important to the area as we live in a poverty ridden state. Clothing is free to anyone who comes into the thrift store and food is free to those who qualify which in this county is about 70% of the population.

I graduated in 1991 from Arizona State University with my MSW the same time my daughters graduated from high school. I touch on this more in some future blogs about the way God was working in my life at that time.

In August of 2007 my wonderful husband bought me my very own motorcycle which you will probably learn more than you ever wanted to know about if you decide to read my blog.

  1. Hi Linda, it’s lovely to read more about you and what you do. You are a great witness to your love for God and your desire to serve him. May God continue to bless and use all that you do for him.

Much love, Daph in England (It’s so good to have friends in different parts of the world, even though we may never meet face to face until we meet in heaven!)

  2. Thank you Daph! It is great having you for a friend also…I know that you have a wonderful servant’s heart and you are such an inspiration to me.

  3. Hi Linda- I just sold my Cade to my brother so that he and I could ride together. I ride a Harley but I do so mostly for God and CMA. I saw that you were also a member and just wanted to say Hi! May God bless you and yours with health and joy in your special witness for Christ.

  4. Hey Steve,
I am glad you are still riding! Too bad you sold your Cade though. Hub still has his bike and we both enjoy riding! Thanks for coming by my blog. I am terribly behind on it and do need to get caught up, but this is bike season and here in WV that is very short! We will have to keep in touch and meet up one of these days at a bike rally!
    Love in Him,
